Jay Jenkins - President/CEO
South Plains Communications was founded in 1985 by Jay Jenkins. Under his capable leadership, South Plains Communications has continued to experience growth and has expanded its' territory and services. SPC's territory has grown to include the entire Panhandle Plains region of Texas, eastern New Mexico and parts of Oklahoma. From its earliest two-way beginnings until now, Jay has led this company into the future with its growth in services offered. This company leads the way in specialized system designs for radio users in this part of the country. Jay has provided the knowledge and leadership to accomplish these tasks. As a native of West Texas, Jay has a deep understanding and appreciation for the people of this area. He understands the true meaning of service and is willing to do what it takes to make sure his customers and his employees are taken care of.
Jim Jenkins - Vice-President/CFO
Jim brings over 25 years of accounting experience to the table. As a CPA, Jim lends his expertise to the financial part of this corporation. Jim has worked for major CPA firms and was also self-employed as a CPA in the Lubbock area for a number of years. The understanding, knowledge and expertise he brings provides a solid foundation for this corporation. In our society today it is a rare happening for a team of brothers to successfully work and build together, but, this duo has done so since 1985. These men have built this company on a common respect for each other, their employees and their customers.
